We are eagerly awaiting his foals in 2016!
Gordy is owned by Kat Zelnio of Geneseo, IL and Sally King of South Elgin, IL.
Kat is a lifetime member of AQHA and holds an AQHA and NSBA Judge’s card. She trains Quarter Horses and Paints with over 30 years experience specializing in pleasure and hunter under saddle horses. Her love for the young prospects and futurity horses led her into the breeding end of this industry. Breeding for over 20 years, she has raised multiple Congress Champions, Reichart Champion, Reserve World Champion, High Point NSBA year end honors and many futurity champions! Having tremendous success with the Do You Have A Minute bloodline, raising “Gordy” was no mistake. HIs mother was hand picked from June Warren and anxiously bred to the late, great sire, Do You Have A Minute. As the results…..big, beautiful and talented and we pride him on his conformation, PLUS athletic ability!
Sally was born and raised in Illinois where she has had horses ever since she can remember. Although she didn’t get a saddle until she was eleven. Sally never had riding lessons and her horses were her recreation and her source of transportation. Her favorite horse was a half Arab filly that she raised and trained by reading horse training books. Sally is a graduate from Colorado State University with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Chemistry. She worked in the Artificial Insemination industry but following her divorce and three children she went back to school and earned a Masters of Social Work (MSW). Sally retired from the state after a career as a Forensic Social Worker. It was then she was able to follow her dream of raising quality Quarter Horses.
“My dream was always to raise some really good horses and I managed to do that after I retired from the state.” Sally King
